How to Make a PetPet GIF

A practical guide to making a clean PetPet GIF from any avatar, logo, mascot, or meme image.

A good PetPet GIF looks simple, but the details matter. The hand needs to land on the subject, the image should stay readable, and the loop should feel snappy without turning into visual noise.

Start with a clear subject

Use an image where the face, logo, or character is visible in the center. Square images work best, but the generator can handle wide or tall images if you adjust the position.

Place the subject under the hand

After uploading, drag the preview or use the horizontal and vertical sliders. Move faces slightly down when the hand covers too much of the eyes or logo.

Pick the right size

Use 112 x 112 for the classic PetPet meme style. Use 256 x 256 when you want a cleaner source for stickers, previews, or later resizing.

Tune the motion

8 fps is the classic rhythm. Increase the speed for chaotic reaction GIFs. Increase squish when the meme should feel more exaggerated.

Export locally

The generator renders with browser Canvas and gifenc, so your image stays on your device. Download the final GIF and use it in Discord, Twitch, Slack, or reaction packs.

Input and output limits

Choose one PNG, JPG or WebP of at most 20 MB and 40 megapixels. Export a five-frame looping GIF at 64, 112, 128, 256, 512 or 1024 pixels square. Transparent artwork is flattened onto the chosen background, not exported with transparency. This fixed hand animation deforms your image; it does not generate blinking, expressions or AI motion.

If the result looks wrong

Use Fit to preserve the complete image, then adjust subject size and position. Try a smaller export if your device struggles. If a file cannot be read, re-save it as a supported format and select it again. Changing a setting clears the previous download so that you do not save an outdated result. Refreshing or changing language clears unsaved edits, so download first.

GIF colors are limited, and larger dimensions do not restore source detail. Destination platforms may reject or compress a GIF; their current upload requirements and your account permissions still apply. Only edit and share images you have permission to use.
